Storm Damage February 2017

We are sorry if we couldn't support you during our little crisis in early 2017.

Here are some photos of our journey from Thursday 23rd February to early April 2017. It was a slow and painful situation to deal with but we can't thank our customers enough for their patience and understanding.

Here's what happened.....

23rd February 2017

Storm Doris hit whilst we were away exhibiting at the London Classic Car Show 2017 at ExCel with our Maxspeed Vapour Blasting trade stand.

A tree and a telegraph pole destroyed the main part of the workshop roof and we were forced to close our business until after the temporary roof repairs were carried out in early April 2017.

The damage occurred exactly where our main car ramp is located, and Chris spends most of his time working.

Luckily we were not there at the time….. the new compressor, new electrics and various tools and equipment were hit, but luckily Chris and our new Aquablast machine weren’t!

We had visits from 6 separate BT/ Openreach engineers over the course of a few weeks, all of whom reported back that they couldn't repair the phone lines to our industrial estate because the top of the telegraph pole was still hanging INSIDE our work unit.... *speechless*

Finally they came and replaced the telegraph pole and repaired the phone lines, so that eventually the builders could come to carry out roof repairs in early April.
